Can my SolusVM VPS have a full IPv4 IP? (Updated 22-12-2025)

Since October 16th, 2025, and if you have an European VPS with SolusVM (servers Delta.1 Germany, Zeta.6 Finland and Zeta.7 Finland), it is possible for your VPS to have a full IPv4 IP, at an additional cost. 

Zeta.5 New Jersey (United States) does not support this option.

The terms in which that is possible will vary on a per-server basis, which we'll present below. 

Advantages of a full IPv4 at C-Servers solely under SolusVM systems:

- Direct communication to IPv4 equipments, without needing NAT by default;

- The main NAT IPv4 IP and ports still stay available just like before without any extra cost, effectively providing you with two IPv4 addresses to use (one full, one as external NAT). This is a unique solution to C-Servers - no other provider has, on the same VPS, NAT IPv4 and a full IPv4 IP - and may be advantageous on multiple scenarios, for example when a VPS has two or more usage types (e.g. VPN through IPv4, hosting/databases through NAT or IPv6) where it is preferential to have separate IPs. 

- No long-term commitment or payments: the IPv4 extra subnet charge is only done month-to-month (with the exception of single IPv4 IPs, which are quarterly), and it's entirely separate from your VPS. At any given moment, you can simply turn off the extra IP on our billing system. Bear in mind that, if you stop paying for the extra IPv4, we'll need to entirely redeploy your VPS from scratch, and all backups will be lost. Ensure your own personal backups are done if you need to disable the extra IPv4, prior to any disable request.

- The ASN that is used is always from the upstream provider on each IPv4. This may be an advantage - having an IP appear from Hetzner is always better than having an IP with a less known or a bad reputation source, which may be an advantage on several fronts like SEO, for example. 

- Exception to the ASN rule written above: at some servers, when an IPv6 IP is associated to our ASN (AS214566, Centerfield Ltd), the IPv4 IP will also be associated as well. You can check what is the holder of your IPv6 IP merely by searching the IPv6 IP on Google's search bar. 

Will ports 25 and 465 be available over IPv4?

The SMTP/TLS ports for e-mail will be available to be provided with our full IPv4 IPs, yes, though not by default.
A ticket request will need to be done - and a one-time 10 USD fee will apply on a server-to-server basis.
SSL at port 587 is not subject to this restriction.

This fee does not apply on servers associated with our own ASN, Centerfield Ltd.

Is there any restriction on the services I can have over IPv4?

The only restriction applicable are the global rules of your VPS server you already had to comply with - no additional restrictions apply. 

What are the prices?

The pricing for this offer varies depending on the location, upstream ASN, and server:

Is the price fixed? Can the price change at any time?

While we do make an effort to provide you with fixed pricing under IPv4, executing long-term agreements for subnets whenever reasonable, the IPv4 IP market is dynamic, and this a scarce resource. As such, everything that has an IPv4 full IP may have price fluctuations.

While we will accomodate minor fluctuations, major fluctuations will force us to adjust these pricings accordingly.
You will always be notified - at least 15 days in advance.

Are these IPs non-refundable? What happens if my VPS gets cancelled?

The IPv4s are also paid by us to our upstream providers, and they don't support refunds - once it's paid, it's paid.
As such, we cannot refund extra IPv4 IP charges, as it would create a sustainability issue for us. 

If the VPS gets cancelled, the IP is released for general availability and can only be recovered if it is technically possible, and reasonable, to do so.
