How can I distinguish a VirtFusion-based VPS from a SolusVM-based VPS?

There are several aspects that distinguish them. In order to help you, we'll detail how, in this article.

A VirtFusion-based VPS (used at the VirtPortal, virtportal.cfld.uk), has:

» a specific interface at the Client Area for managing your VPS, which has this design:

» has a NAT IPv4 private IP directly shown and available on your VPS, when you do "ip -4 addr";
» may have a /80 IPv6 IP range shown and available on your VPS on lower plans, when you do "ip -6 addr";
» has an entirely different management address (virtportal.cfld.uk) and it says "VirtFusion" when you click on the "Panel option";
» has an automatic e-mail sent from VirtFusion that details SSH configuration, specifically on NAT IPv4 plans.

If you:

» have an IPv6 /64 IP without any direct IPv4 IP inserted;
» are redirected to portal.cfld.uk;
» do not have a management interface for your VPS on the Client Area with this design,

you are running a SolusVM-based VPS.
