I need to find drivers for my ISO/template install on the VPS. What is the PC hardware?

C-Servers emulates a classic Intel i440fx chipset. This is the complete list of used hardware and drivers:

PCI Bus: Generic Windows "PCI Bus" drivers (searched under the Driver List) work correctly under QEMU. Alternatively, you may find some of those will need a Intel 825xx driver type. Linux doesn't have any issue with this.

Graphic Card: VESA 2.0, when VGA Acceleration is enabled. Cirrus Logic CL-5446 when it is not (bear in mind that, with this 2nd one, even 2D acceleration will be very slow on anything past 16-bit colour). For VESA 2.0 drivers under Windows NT/2000 (2D only), the open-source VESA GPU project will work but you will need the Virtualbox SVGA derived driver in order to have high color and it must be the last stable driver - no beta driver works on Windows 2000. Older Linux systems you install (pre-1999) only work with Cirrus Logic CL-5446 or "unlisted" generic driver.

Network Card: Intel Pro/1000 MT PCI driver, also called Intel E1000 under Virtualizor. Link must be at Gigabit Ethernet for the VintageVPS Extra, and at least Fast Ethernet for VintageVPS Standard. You may need to provide relevant network configuration for TCP/IP, especially on Windows NT, which goes as follows for IPv4:

IP - Manual (no DHCP) - check your internal IP
Netmask - 255.255.255.0
Gateway - 10.0.0.1
DNS - any regular IPv4 DNS, for example 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

For IPv6 configuration, this is as follows:

IP - check your IPv6 subnet and provide it in full IPv6 address extension
Netmask: /80
Gateway: fe80::1
DNS: any regular IPv6 DNS, for example 2001:4860:4860::8888 and 2001:4860:4860::8844, or a NAT64 DNS (ensure IPv4 is pre-deactivated on the network card configuration to avoid IP conflicts).

Sound: Intel 82801AA, also known as Intel AC97. In an absolutely unexpected sense, drivers for Intel AC97 exist since... 1997.

Disk: regular IDE driver, as the operating systems from this era won't accept anything different by default. For Windows 95/98, bear in mind you will need to configure DMA (Direct Mode Access) on the Disk and on the CD Drive, otherwise your system will be substantially slower by a factor of at least 30%. Maximum disk speed is in-line with the systems of that time and equivalent to a regular-sized 5400rpm disk drive, up to around 5-10 MB/s; this is by default for those emulations.

CD/DVD-ROM: basic QEMU DVD-ROM hardware, automatically provided by the system. If the CD/DVD drive disappears from the system, check the Device Manager and ensure all relevant drivers, especially the PCI Bus drivers, are correctly installed.
