Why you don't provide Windows 2000 templates by default?

C-Servers has attempted to provide you a ready-to-use Windows 2000 Professional template, of which you only had to insert your purchased retail key.

However, due to the way Windows 2000 handles partitioning, and under QEMU/KVM, we've always found porting the template caused us a fatal error, "No bootable system on disk", which was unresolvable without manipulating MBR (obviously different from our test system configuration), and we deemed unfeasible to actually provide any template that wasn't working at all.

Windows 2000 Professional still supports installation from any CD as normal, and by doing it in such a way, the system will be correctly installed and work as expected. Additional drivers may nevertheless be needed.
